Katie Malik, the founder and creative director of Katie Malik Design Studio. Katie’s journey in interior design began with a deep-rooted passion for remodelling, inspired by her father’s craftsmanship. After studying at Chelsea College of Art, Cambridge University, and the National Design Academy, she worked in high-end London studios before establishing the studio in 2014.
Over the years, Katie has been honoured to receive multiple industry awards, including seven UK Property Awards, and to be a finalist in Grand Designs Live, the SBID Awards, and other prestigious competitions. Studio’s work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Grand Designs, House & Garden, Casa Vogue Brazil, and The Times Property, among others.
Beyond design, Katie is passionate about education and mentorship. In 2024 she founded Interior Design Deconstructed to help emerging designers navigate and grow their businesses. She has been mentored by industry leaders, including American Express and Big Business Events,.
Sustainability and community impact are at the heart of her work. She prioritises ethical sourcing and proudly supports Shelter Box, a charity providing aid to displaced families. Interior design is more than just my profession—it’s her life. She thrives on solving problems, creating meaningful spaces, and helping clients bring their vision to life with thoughtful and beautifully curated interiors.
